From Personal Challenge to Purpose
Hi, I'm Nishant Modi, the founder of WishBot. For the past five years, I've been on a mission to revolutionize how we connect with one another through personalized greetings and heartfelt messages.
Having lived in multiple places throughout my life, I've experienced firsthand the challenge of maintaining meaningful connections. Too often, our interactions dwindled to simple "thank you" texts or quick birthday wishes on WhatsApp.
As a former developer and management consultant, I recognized that we could do better. In 2020, I set out to create solutions that would help people nurture deeper, more personal connections in our increasingly digital world.

WishBot is the culmination of years of development, experimentation, and learning.
Project Zoob
Started working on a mobile gifting application codenamed 'Zoob', the first attempt at solving the personal connection challenge.
Pivots & Learning
Made several pivots with the Zoob gifting app, exploring different approaches to meaningful connection. The app was never released and was shut down in 2022.
AI Greeting Cards
After a brief break, launched an AI greeting card generation service, applying lessons learned from previous attempts.
Reset & Reflection
Despite innovative technology, the AI card service didn't gain sufficient traction. Took time to reflect and reimagine the approach.
WishBot Launch
Built and launched WishBot myself, combining premade cards, card sending services, and generation tools into one comprehensive platform.
